Announced the results of the first national rating of Russian universities “Three missions of universities”. Results on Tuesday, July 11, was presented by the head of the Russian Union of rectors, rector of Moscow state University Viktor Sadovnichy at the meeting of the public Council of the project “Modernization of education” of the party “United Russia”, says TASS.

The top 20 are presented without specifying specific locations. The list includes 12 higher educational establishments of Moscow: MGIMO, Moscow state technical University, Lomonosov Moscow state University, MIPT, MISIS, MEPhI, First MSMU named after I. M. Sechenov, Financial University under the government of the Russian Federation, Ranepa under the President of the Russian Federation, Gubkin Russian state University of oil and gas (national research UNIVERSITY) named after Gubkin, Russian national research medical University named after Pirogov, Russian University of friendship of peoples.
Also on the list of three universities of the Northern capital: St. Petersburg state University, Saint-Petersburg Polytechnic University Peter the Great and the ITMO University.
The top twenty included five regional higher education institutions: Kazan Federal University, Novosibirsk state University, Tomsk state University, Tomsk Polytechnic University, Ural Federal University named after first President of Russia Boris Yeltsin.
The rankings of the universities were evaluated on 35 indicators which reflect three main missions of the University in the modern world: “education”, “science” and “University and society”.
Be prepared also the international version. In its creation will involve three dozen international experts. It educational institutions will be listed, with specific places. The ranking will be published in October.
