Russian short-tremist Elistratov won the “bronze” Olympics-2018

On 10 February at the winter Olympics 2018 was awarded the first medals. And on the first day of such a significant event, one of the awards went to Russian athlete – short track racer Semyon Elistratov, which has won “bronze” on a distance of 1500 meters.

Semen Elistratov qualified with the third best result in their group and advanced to the semifinals. And already there was the best not only for themselves, but in General, reached the final.

In the final race, his rivals were Dutch Booths, Knight and two South Koreans Hye lim Joon and Hwang, Dae Hyun.

Owners of competitions from the beginning of the finale captured the first two places, but the trail of Dae Hyun fell, and Elistratov has only increased. In the end the Russian short-tremist finished third, just a little bit behind Lima Hye Joon (2:10,485), who set an Olympic record, and Knegt (2:10,555). The Result Elistratova – 2:10,687.

We will remind that by decision of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the Russian team disqualified from Olympics 2018, however, some athletes perform under a neutral flag with the logo of the OAR – Olympic athletes from Russia.
