Moscow, 13 Feb – AIF-Moscow.
The European court of human rights on Tuesday rejected the claim of the pensioners of Donetsk to the Ukrainian authorities.
Why Russia may not fulfill some of the requirements of the European court?
In “Caesar and others V. Ukraine” Donetsk pensioners complained about the impossibility to challenge it in city court the suspension of payments of pensions and other social benefits.
The court noted that since the beginning of the conflict in the South-East of Ukraine in Donetsk the courts have moved to neighbouring regions. The applicants have not presented evidence that failed to file their statements on personal circumstance.
Thus, the Strasbourg court found that the actions of the Ukrainian authorities had violated the right of plaintiffs to access justice.
