In the Russian economy for too long has seen high inflation, because of this, citizens still can’t believe that prices actually do not grow much. This statement was made President of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina in interview to TV channel “Russia 1”.

In addition, the Chairman of the Central Bank identified two reasons why the Russians are not blind to the success of the regulator in fighting inflation. All because of the memory of the citizens who can’t get rid of the values two years ago, as well as strong fluctuations in the prices of vegetables and fruits.

“All the same people, in contrast to the statistical authorities, no fixed monthly prices. And in their memory there is still a price level that was, say, 2 years ago… And also the goods of daily purchases, primarily fruit and vegetable products. There prices during the year is very fluctuating, and people of course notice the price increase more than lower prices, or when prices are growing less,” – said Nabiullina.
