The President of Russia Vladimir Putin today took the main naval parade in the country in St. Petersburg in honor of the Day of the Navy, Vedomosti said.

Putin on the boat passed along the guard of ships on the Neva and greeted the crews. The President noted that today the Russian Navy performs advanced tasks list, in particular, makes a significant contribution to the fight against international terrorism. The parade was attended by dozens of ships, planes and helicopters of the Baltic, North and black sea fleets and the Caspian flotilla. Also today, the parade takes place in the Syrian port of Tartus.
