The Rosselkhoznadzor lifted the ban on the supply of fish products from the two Baltic companies. We are talking about Latvian SIA “Karavela and Estonian “DGM Shipping AS”.

As stated in the message Rosselkhoznadzor that temporary restrictions on import of fish products from two companies — Latvia SIA “Karavela” (canned and preserved, including canned sprats in oil) and the Estonian “DGM Shipping AS” (sprat, herring) – were cancelled December 15.
The issue of lifting the ban on imports from other companies will be considered after verification of the materials from Latvia and Estonia to eliminate violations, said the Agency.
From June 2015, the Rosselkhoznadzor has banned the supply of sprats from Latvia and Estonia. The reason for this step was systemic violations, including lack product safety control and the content of benzopyrene.
The ban on import of fresh, frozen and chilled fish from EU countries operating in Russia since 7 August 2014. Canned food list food embargo are not included.
