The international ice hockey Federation Zaripova disqualified for two years for doping

The international ice hockey Federation (IIHF) shocking news of the disqualification of the forward of “AK Bars” Danis Zaripov. It turned out that the striker still playing for metallurg in the Kontinental hockey League (KHL), passed a positive doping test, which it eventually was suspended from games for two years.

Danis Zaripov spent last season in Magnitogorsk “Metallurgist” with which previously twice won the Gagarin Cup, and in 2017 reached with the team to the finals where they eventually lost to SKA. In the summer it was officially announced that the 36-year-old hockey player will continue career in “AK the leopard”: the Kazan club it is also twice raised above the head of the Gagarin Cup.

However, again to play for the team he fails. As reports “R-Sports” in the 2016/17 season Danis Zaripov passed a positive doping test, which revealed his body stimulants, diuretics and masking agents.

The tests were conducted by the International ice hockey Federation (IIHF) and the world anti-doping Agency (WADA), in connection with which his case was considered in the IIHF.

“The disciplinary Committee heard the case on 21 July 2017 and, after reviewing all the materials, decided on the disqualification of the player until may 22, 2019”, – quoted the press service of the KHL.
